Last month, Paul, director at HCC Maryvale, hand-delivered product that would help at-risk kids adapt to in-person learning in their new COVID-19 modified school classrooms.
Tony, one of HCC’s regular homeless clients, found enough courage to take the necessary steps to finally get off the streets.
HCC’s Back-2-School Backpack distribution was a HUGE SUCCESS!
Last month HCC’s phone rang and on the other end was a stressed-out grandmother of three who had just found out her mother passed away.
This past month HCC welcomed many new volunteers and one volunteer’s story reminded us why we exist. Meet Ramon.
While at check-in Gloria shared with our volunteer that seven months ago she had visited HCC for the first time and asked for prayer for her husband.
Even though we made these lifelong friends stand six feet apart when they recently visited HCC, their motivation to persevere could be felt instantly!
The lines are longer than usual at Harvest Compassion Centers and the heartbreaking stories can take an emotional toll on all of us.
The HCCs are safe spaces where there is always someone who will listen to, care for and truly love those who are hurting.
