Mitchell Swaback Charities, Inc. opened the Harvest Compassion Center Phoenix over six years ago, helped launch a sister HCC location in Chandler about two years ago, and in early 2018 it’s time to expand their outreach once again! The Lord has opened doors for MSC, Inc. to open their second fully- funded and operated center in the West Valley. HCC Phoenix currently serves a high number of guests who reside in the West Valley, as well as has a large volunteer base in that same area. After a long search for a location that would best serve its’ community for years to come, MSC board members are happy to announce their search ended in Maryvale.
Maryvale’s total population of approximately 290,000 includes 33% if its’ residents living in poverty. Including 48% of households who have children and over 21% of seniors 65-years-old and older live below the poverty line. After scouting several locations MSC board members knew the Lord was leading the HCC to serve the families in this area of the Valley where resources are limited, and the need is great.
Construction has begun on Harvest Compassion Center Maryvale at 67th Avenue and Indian School Road with hopes to be completed and open to serve the public in January 2018. MSC, Inc. asks for your prayers as we continue to seek West Side partners, volunteers, and financial gifts allowing our outreach to reach the entire West Valley in the New Year.
