Monthly Motivation: October 2021

Unfortunately, our centers are often the destination where families donate a loved one’s belongings after they have passed away. They are looking for a place where the items will not just be sold but can truly be used to help others. Last month a sweet couple came in to donate their late mother’s belongings, which included a walker that was in great condition. Days later HCC client Maria arrived asking, ‘By chance do you all have a walker I could have? My knees are starting to give out and I’m very unsteady on my feet.” An HCC team member shared a big smile when she replied, “Actually, YES we do! It just came in and was clearly meant for YOU!”
