Recently an expecting mom visited HCC walking very slow and cautiously. As this mom-to-be sat down to be checked in at HCC’s desk our volunteer asked, “When are you due?” This mom replied in two days! She continued to share that she was very worried because she didn’t have all the necessary newborn items that she had been trying to save up to purchase. The manager of this location overheard the conversation and as this expectant mom shopped slowly for her groceries and clothing the manager was secretly creating our own ‘welcome baby gift basket.’ Before our new friend walked out the door, they presented her with her first baby gift! A basket filled with everything she had asked for!
