Team HCC Raises Almost $30,000!

Nothing says ‘I love you’ better than racing with your sweetheart, right!  Last Valentine’s Day 50 runners and walkers took their skills to the trails of the Lost Dutchman Marathon Races to raise awareness and funding for the Harvest Compassion Center.  The morning started off a bit chilly, however, it soon warmed up just in time for all runners to cross the finish line, many in record time!  There were seven top finishers from Team HCC who placed first, second or third in their age groups!  Including 7–year– old Keenan who finished his first 10k race and 9-year-old Alijah who finished his first 8k race, as well as, 89 years young Chuck who finished his first 8k!

“We love seeing entire families come out for this event, teaching our kids the importance of serving others while having a lot of fun,” commented a Team HCC member.

Team HCC’s purpose for running this year’s Lost Dutchman races was to raise awareness and funding for all HCC needs.  Team HCC was successful in raising close to $30,000 for the Harvest Compassion Center.  100% of these funds will serve our community, by keeping our shelves fully stocked with food, hygiene and baby items.  All HCC guests are welcomed to visit once every 30 days for a free shopping trip, where we hold high quality standards and show each guest the love of the Lord.

Our sincere thanks goes out to each Team HCC member, as well as our volunteers who helped work the 2 mile family fun run!  Our gratitude is also given to the race directors and coordinators of the Lost Dutchman Marathon races, who have invited us each year with open arms.

Stay tuned for our next race and make a decision to be a part of it!
