SPROUT of the month: Meet Noah & Lucy

Each month we will be turning the spotlight on one of our amazing SPROUTS.  HCC’s Serving SPROUTS (Small People Reaching Out Unselfishly To Serve) kids-feeding-kids program aims to come alongside parents and grandparents, planting seeds of service in the hearts of kiddos.  Each SPROUTS family earns $28 a month to feed hungry kids in their community.  In addition, SPROUTS host several hands-on serving opportunities throughout the year for the entire family to participate in.

Noah and Lucy enjoy playing outside together, all things Disney and playing garage hockey with dad while being quarantined.  Lucy can’t wait to join mom again, visiting HCC Maryvale weekly to serve, once the restrictions are lifted. Lucy really misses seeing Mr. Paul, Miss Gabby and Miss Susan!  Noah is a hard worker who earns money to feed other kids by doing house and yard work.  “Any money the kids earn or find they want to give away immediately to families in need.  As a parent I am so blessed to watch a natural sense of generosity and desire to care for others emerge from them at such a young age!” commented their mom Taylor.  “We can’t wait to get back to serving again at HCC Maryvale and participating in other SPROUT events!”

Congrats, Noah and Lucy, and thank you for being dedicated SPROUTS and finding creative ways to love others during COVID-19!
