Recently this couple visited HCC carrying a lot of worry and stress along with them. They were thrilled with the arrival of their first child, however the stress of having a newborn was amplified with the added stress of losing a job at the same time! This new dad had been busy applying for jobs and showing up to job fairs. Just as they were in the middle of shopping at HCC his phone rang; it was one of his potential jobs calling. As he hung up the phone, he looked at his wife, smiled and said: ‘Let’s celebrate! I got the job!’ HCC volunteers and staff were able to clap and celebrate this moment of joy that brought huge relief to this new family of three!
