Monthly Motivation: One Little Jacket

One year ago, a tiny coat changed everything.
It was brand new, a sweet little coat meant for my grandson. But it was too small, and my daughter asked me to return it. As I held it, I thought…there has to be a better place for this.
Instead of returning it to a store, I walked it through the doors of Harvest Compassion Centers.
The very next day, I signed up to volunteer at HCC-West Phx for the first time and was greeted with a smile that felt like home.
What started as a simple coat donation became something so much bigger. It became purpose. It became community. One full year of serving families and witnessing hope unfold.
Sometimes the “little reasons” are actually the beginning of our biggest blessings.
