Monthly Motivation: A Special Birthday Surprise!
At HCC, we love making birthdays memorable! While it’s easy to give kids small birthday toys, we know it’s a little trickier with our adult friends. Last month, Luis walked into our center on his birthday, and when we asked what he had planned, he said, “Nothing much, but man, I’d love to have my favorite cake today!”
When we asked about his favorite flavor, he said, “Carrot cake.” Our staff didn’t hesitate— they searched our mini-mart and quickly surprised him with a carrot-infused, cream-filled birthday cake! We didn’t know it, but this cake was delivered to HCC just for Luis on his special day!
