For the entire month of August Harvest Compassion Centers, through the efforts of Local First Arizona, were fortunate to receive deliveries of freshly made meals from local restaurants and catering companies. The City of Phoenix is making huge efforts to make sure families in the Valley are fed during this pandemic. To help in these efforts, Local First AZ organized and coordinated with 7 local restaurants who delivered fresh meals before HCC shifts. Chicken tacos, salads, and kid-friendly sandwiches were all enjoyed by hundreds of HCC clients. In total over 1,000 meals were donated. We’d like to take a moment and thank the following restaurants for their partnership: Birrieria Las Marias, Bertha’s Café, Citron Catering, The Bread & Honey House, Flavorz Fish & Chicken, Lovecraft and PHX Eats Café.
