HCC is extremely thankful to Chris and Emily Coriano of Coriano Insurance Agency for submitting HCC for Safeco’s Make More Happen Award which Coriano Insurance and HCC WON!
Chris and his family have been volunteering and supporting HCC for almost two years and connected immediately with HCC’s mission as Chris’s parents had experienced hunger at an early age. “At age 15, my dad and his five siblings were abandoned by their parents. I heard heartbreaking stories of hunger and desperation. But I also heard stories of how good people helped them along the way – and I knew I wanted to be one of those people,” Chris said.
“The mission of HCC resonates strongly with all the team members at Coriano Insurance and it was clear that HCC is the right mission for us to support!” Emily commented.
The Coriano team has raised money for HCC through promotions and networking, and held diaper, school supply and food drives throughout the year. They also volunteer once a quarter at HCC. Coriano’s strong commitment to the community earned their agency the “Make More Happen Award” an honor that comes with a Safeco donation of $10,000 to Harvest Compassion Center on behalf of Coriano Insurance
“We shared our mission with Chris and Emily, and they jumped into action immediately,” Nicolee Thompson HCC Executive Director said. “The entire team at Coriano Insurance has been an amazing community partner, and we are forever grateful for that.”
