HCC is excited to announce our new staff member, Gabby Vczquez, who will be a center assistant at both HCC Maryvale and West Phoenix locations. Gabby originally from Mexico, has been volunteering 4 – 5 days a week for the past ten months. When an opening presented itself to help at our newest HCC location, Gabby accepted. We’re thrilled that Gabby will be one of the smiling faces clients will see as they enter HCC locations and are being checked in.
Gabby has had to persevere and survive most of her life. Growing up in an orphanage in Mexico, then coming to the US at the age of 8 and later marrying young and starting a family has taught Gabby lasting life lessons. Raising her kids as a single mom, Gabby knows the definition of struggle but refuses to let her circumstances define her. Gabby has always taken time to volunteer and serve at food banks, nursing homes and shelters, and feels blessed to have found HCC. “I love seeing every child’s adorable face when they visit us at HCC and find great comfort that I know because they visited HCC, they will not go to bed hungry!” commented Gabby.
“I am extremely happy to become part of the HCC family, I honestly never imagined being a part of HCC staff. I love my new job, working with Paul and I feel so love and appreciated,” added Gabby.
“It’s an extremely exciting time of growth at HCC. We’re launching our new center this month and are thrilled to officially add Gabby to our team who will help us impact, love and serve our community! Gabby’s story is filled with determination and courage, these same qualities help her relate and welcome each HCC client she meets.” commented Nicolee Thompson, HCC Executive Director.
