Last month, a volunteer helped Betty, an elderly grandmother, at HCC. Betty expressed deep gratitude for the assistance, as rising food prices have made it hard for her multi-generational household. While volunteers bagged her groceries, Betty looked worried. She explained, “I have to take three buses to get home and don’t know how I’ll carry everything.”
Luckily, a small roller suitcase had been donated that morning. We packed her groceries into the suitcase, making her journey home much easier. We’re incredibly thankful for your generous support, which allows us to help Betty and countless others. Your kindness makes a profound difference!
