Client Impact Story: Tamara’s Visit to HCC
HCC’s April Client Spotlight Story comes from one of our dedicated volunteers, who emailed us after a recent shift to share this heartwarming experience.
“Tamara, a client, visited HCC today, and I had the pleasure of talking with her in the clothing boutique near the end of her visit. She began sharing a story about her family, and before we knew it, we were all laughing together, enjoying such a special moment. As she turned to leave, she paused, looked at us, and said, “I woke up today feeling so sad, but after coming to HCC, I just know the rest of my day is going to be wonderful!”
Beyond receiving food, hygiene items, and clothing, Tamara also left with a dose of pure joy. That is what HCC offers to everyone who walks through its doors. The warmth and kindness here are truly transformative.

Leaders inspire volunteers to serve our families with compassion, building meaningful friendships along the way.
