Arizona law provides you a credit (through the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Program) for cash contributions made to qualifying charities that provide help to the working poor, Mitchell Swaback Charities, Inc. (who fully funds and operates the Harvest Compassion Center Phoenix) is one of these approved charities. The maximum amount of this credit is $400 for single taxpayers or heads of households and for married taxpayers, the maximum credit is $800.
