Same event, different venue! This year’s Team MSC/HCC fall race fundraiser will be ‘raced’ virtually on Saturday, October 3 for our Run1, Feed1 Virtual Race 2020! When COVID-19 hit our communities several months ago, the mission of feeding families with the utmost dignity was magnified! Our centers did not close their doors, instead we went into overdrive to better serve our neighbors in need. Throughout the pandemic, as jobs losses grew and budgets became tighter, hundreds of families who never had to ask for food assistance before visited our centers.
We can’t help but remember that our current priority looks the same as that of Mitch Swaback’s, the young man that MSC/HCC was named after. MSC was created to continue his legacy of joyful giving! Mitch gave his time, talents and smile to hundreds before losing his life in a tragic accident 16 years ago. This year, due to the pandemic, we can’t get together to run or walk in person but we ALL can contribute to helping raise funds virtually to feed families and kids hit hardest by COVID-19.
Mitch would have been first in line to help feed families and kiddos who need our assistance at this time. Today we ask YOU to come together as ONE online community to make sure no kid who visits a Harvest Compassion Center location goes away hungry!
Our goal is to have 50 participants coming together as ONE united front to feed families!
