Monthly Motivation: Beyond the Grocery Cart

Every day at HCC, we have the privilege of meeting families walking through hard seasons. Sometimes they are facing a major challenge, and sometimes they’re simply having a really hard day. No matter the circumstance, we have the opportunity to meet people where they are . . often as complete strangers and remind them they are not alone.

Sometimes, all someone needs to make it through the day is a hug, a prayer, a listening ear or a few encouraging words. We may never know the weight someone is carrying when they walk through our doors, but we can choose to slow down, listen to their story and offer a little hope.

Never underestimate the power of taking a moment to encourage someone today.
