Impact Story: It’s Okay to Ask For Help

Celeste first visited HCC and shared that life had been incredibly difficult for her family. A mom of four children under age four, she spent the past year navigating more than 35 hospital visits for her one-year-old daughter, while recently losing their housing and staying with friends.

With three little ones still in diapers, she was especially grateful to find the diapers her family desperately needed at HCC. Yet despite everything she was facing, Celeste shared, “Things are really, really hard, but I’ve learned it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. And I’m so happy to be here.” We had the privilege of praying with her and witnessing a kind, grateful and hopeful spirit that touched our entire team.

Her story is a beautiful reminder that even in the hardest seasons, hope and gratitude can shine brightly. At HCC, we are blessed to walk alongside families like Celeste’s and remind them that they are never alone.
